My first virtual quiz (Answers)

Hello friends,
I'm an ardent fan of quizzing and I thought if I could share questions and answers on regular basis through my post that might be helpful to others. I also decided that instead of just giving out questions and answers why can't I conduct a virtual quiz weekly.

Initially I would publish 5 questions and anyone can answer to those questions in comment box. Though your answers would be hidden until I reveal correct answers at the end of each week.
I picked up Saturday as the day when I would post the questions first and provide the corresponding answer on the next Saturday.

I'll publish the name of first 10 correct entries on every Saturday!

Here is the first set of 5 questions (bit simple)- As this is the first post so I'm not considering Saturday as the auspicious day to begin with 😉 

I would wait for the answers till 22nd of December and then would publish the answers.
